October Ramblings...

Send an email or...Missing friends and family is almost impossible in this day and age. With the internet it's easier than ever to stay in touch and yet we are way too busy these days!

I can call my sister at no charge back in Texas but due to the time change we would wake each other up. So what about email?

Certainly the next best thing to a phone call is the email or a family website in which everyone in the family could log in and add stuff. Make this your home page - LITERALLY! Using a blog set up you could leave notes for each other and extended family could stay in touch by adding comments to your site.

Where did I come from?
Last Friday it was five years since Mom died and I had the genealogy bug. Each year I have to reach out and find our family that is still in existence. On her side of the family the relatives are extremely distant. Growing up her brothers never visited our house and if my Dad didn't make sure we visited them, we would never have met. I am a little bitter that I have family (Provost) that do not keep in touch with family. Has society become so selfish that we don't have time for family anymore? I have one cousin by marriage that I am close to otherwise no one communicates anymore.

Upside! I found family on the internet and we share historical references in our family book. More to come on this!

There was a time when family ruled.
People married young and had lots of children.
They saw the whole family at holidays and special occasions.
They helped each other and built a reputation in their community.

Lack of marriage and family commitment we rule nothing.
The cost of living is so high we can't manage career and family so few children.
They moved away and now send a card once a year on a special occasion.
They help themselves and are silent in their community.

It's time to R-E-U-N-I-T-E!
Get back in touch and find your family, what's left of it and build on that to make the family strong again.

Would you do that please for our community?

No Heart in Scientology...

Is this news?

For anyone that didn't hear it before and didn't know it, then yes it is, and it is very important for you to know.

I last spoke to my sister in June 2002 because she is a Scientologist. She would like nothing more than to be known as someone that "saved the planet" irregardless of the cost and nonsense of that statement.

Scientology will not save the planet for the betterment of humanity. It may be counting one by one the number of lives that are under their control, but not the same thing. Through volunteer staff and some that get paid, one by one they are sucked into the machine, under the guise of helping people. Saving lives!

We can prove their intention is not to save the planet. Too many lives have been lost (deaths in Scientology) and relationships torn apart (disconnection in Scientology) to prove anything beyond the major cash flow and financial landscape that they have amassed on the backs of the largest influx of innocents as they found the guise to be so convincing to the general populations of the world.

Even the most loving partners and supportive family members will be cut off without reason. You will not be able to argue it because you do not have a voice. No matter what "you are wrong" and will be accused falsely without any regard to the proof of the truth.

You see, the bottom line is not how lives have been "saved" it's how much money have they saved. The staff knows this and yet believes that the money is put to good use. If you consider money spent to drive more people into the maze, and it is your purpose to amass other people's fortunes into Scientology then you will be revered by some people in that group.

But if you are tired of sleeping on a mattress infested with bedbugs, in a room of 14 women with one bathroom that is not available when you have food poisoning for the third time that week...or you actually love your family...perhaps you'd like to have a room with your husband instead of separate dorms...well you can stay and suffer or you can leave and suffer.

They will tell you the outside world is dangerous! I am here to tell you it isn't nearly as bad as being on the Scienotology staff and Sea Org. If you can handle that, the world out here is a breeze of fresh air and you will be saved!

Ethics and Business in the 21st...

It has been two weeks since I lost a friend of mine that I had for what about, 5 years or so?

We had a BIG difference of opinion in regards to ethical conduct in business and to me the offense was more along the lines of fraud but apparently I may be guilty of being a "goodie two shoes".

There is absolutely no way that the fact you can obtain money doing something makes it legal!

Look at the prisons filled with people that were in the process of obtaining money one way or another. No wonder it is the root of all evil, or can be in my estimation because overall it really depends upon the persons character. A cheat is a cheat is a cheat. Cheating the company, cheating a friend, and cheating the public- isn't it the same?

As much as I want to talk to her it would only be a lecture that she would hang up on as would anyone else that feels that as long as nobody died, it's okay. The character I see in the real estate business and now also mortgage business is just that. Do you see any dead bodies? No. Well, there you have it, we ARE ethical.

You know what I say?

Just wait- the dead will be lining up because they will get angry, get even, get smart, whatever the truth once revealed results in it will not be pretty and it is only a matter of time. Where there's money, there's going to be crooks and there's going to be honest people too.

I would like to find a company that actively strives to be legal and fair with the public and the people associated with it and it has taken years. I have been close, very close, but it is not easy as anyone will tell you. Because even the government may prefer you lie unless they can gain something and then you will be heard only long enough to make their point.

What do you think?
